Ole Miss and the Academic Common Market
The Academic Common Market (ACM) is a cooperative agreement among participating Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) states that allows residents of those states to pursue degree programs not offered in their home state without paying out-of-state tuition.
大象传媒 participates in the Academic Common Market for the following undergraduate degree programs:
- Bachelor of Arts in Southern Studies
- Bachelor of Science in Forensic Chemistry
- Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering
Your state of residence determines ACM eligibility, but not every participating state certifies every program listed above. Use the to confirm whether your state certifies the specific program you're interested in.
Students must also meet the academic admission requirements for their specific major. These requirements are listed on each program's page, linked above.
How to Apply
Apply for admission through the at the University of 大象传媒. Students must first be accepted for admission into the program for which their state has access through the Academic Common Market. If accepted, the student will receive a letter of acceptance for the approved ACM undergraduate degree program.
- Request an ACM application from your home state's ACM coordinator, and submit the completed application along with your Ole Miss acceptance letter. Find your state's coordinator through .
- Your state coordinator verifies your residency and sends a certification notice to you and to Ole Miss's Institutional Coordinator, who ensures you are not charged out-of-state tuition.
- Your certification must be received before the last date to register for the term in which you plan to enroll. Late certification cannot be applied retroactively.
- Maintain satisfactory academic performance in your certified major. Eligibility is reviewed each semester.
Students may double major while on ACM, but only if both programs are individually ACM-eligible. Declaring a major that isn't ACM-eligible ends ACM benefits beginning the semester that major is added.
